La Famille Moore
We are the Moore Family and we have moved to this beautiful area of France from the South East of England.
Why did we make the decision give up our lovely house and good careers in the UK? Well there were a few reasons. We wanted to spend more time together as a family, we loved the French way of life and we wanted to work for ourselves in a job that was both demanding and rewarding.
We chose Mayenne because it is a region with its roots still firmly embedded in real France. In the past we have visited many areas of France and this is the region that ticked all the boxes. It has many wonderful areas to visit and the natural beauty of the area is breathtaking. We loved the fact that while many other areas of France have become anglicised and overcrowded with tourists, this area remains truly French and has yet to be discovered by many of the tourists. Mayenne’s climate also appealed to us with its delightful seasons and increased temperatures which are not too extreme.
Finally, Mayenne is easily accessible by many routes from the UK; this is very important to us not just from a business point of view for our guests but also it ensures that our family and friends can come over and visit us regularly. Mayenne is our new life together, and we hope that you will enjoy sharing part of our dream with us when you stay in Le Vieux Manoir.
